Sport gear and household objects drawn, prototyped and tested here in British Columbia — starting with the FloPole.
PROTOTYPED
Machined and assembled in-house
FIELD-TESTED
Coast Mountains, every season
REPAIRABLE
Parts you can swap, not replace
Three objects,
one workshop
Geometry first,
hardware second
Every Floworks product starts as a question about angles. We shape the part around how a body actually loads it, then prove the shape on trail before a single production run is ordered.
NEUTRAL WRIST
The FloPole grip sits at the angle your forearm already holds, so nothing has to twist to meet the pole.
STRAIGHT LOAD PATH
Weight runs from palm to tip in one line — less energy bleeding sideways on long descents.
WIDER CONTACT
FloFoot tips spread the landing across wet granite, root and scree instead of skating off them.
The test track
is out the door
Drawings happen at the bench; the verdict happens on a wet coastal trail an hour later. Living where the gear gets used means a prototype can fail on Saturday and be re-cut by Monday.
The same instinct runs through the housewares. The Plastic Bag Dryer exists because a drawer full of damp bags is a small, daily annoyance worth engineering away.
Our story
Three steps,
no shortcuts
Draw
A shape is sketched around a specific complaint — a sore wrist, a slipping tip, a wet drawer.
Test
Prototypes go out on local trails and into local kitchens until something breaks or proves itself.
Build
Small runs only, with parts held in stock so a worn piece is replaced rather than the whole thing.
Not sure which
length you need?
Tell us your height and where you hike, and we'll tell you exactly what to order — straight from the bench, usually the same day.
